Air Sentry XR-Series Desiccant Breathers: Features & Model Guide
Engineered for Extreme Environments
Wind turbine gearboxes, mining equipment, and mobile machinery operate in conditions that are hard on lubricants: constant vibration, airborne dust, and wide swings in temperature and humidity. Every time a gearbox or reservoir breathes, contaminated air threatens the oil inside. The XR-Series was originally developed to protect wind power equipment, and its rugged design makes it equally suited to any application where protection from dust, moisture, and vibration is critical.
Key Features
- Dual check valves in the top cap keep outside moisture and contaminants out of the breather until airflow is actually needed. This extends desiccant life, which is especially valuable in humid environments.
- Metal-reinforced base designed to handle the rigors of high-vibration applications.
- Modular design. Replace only the desiccant cartridge, not the entire breather, for economical maintenance.
- NPT or BSP threads. Choose male NPT or BSP connections to match your equipment.

Taller breathers hold more desiccant, so they last longer between cartridge changes. They're a good choice for large gearboxes and reservoirs or for very humid sites.
