Handling steel sheet, scrap, drops, parts, and assemblies by hand exposes workers to cuts, crushed fingers, and pinch points. Multi-Grab tools attach magnetically, so workers can lift, pull, hold, and position steel objects without touching them. They’re also useful for close-up control of suspended loads. Safety note: Despite the magnet’s strength, ADAMAR recommends lifting no more than 60 lbs by hand with a Multi-Grab tool.
Multi-Grab Model Guide
- Multi-Grab II (MG002): the non-locking 12" model with a D-handle and a 180° high pivot point, for general handling, lifting, and positioning.
- Multi-Grab III (MG003): adds a stainless steel spring pull pin that locks the head at 90° for fixed positioning, or unlocks for free 180° pivoting. The high pivot point gives extra clearance over parts and equipment and makes vertical lifting and pulling easier.
- Multi-Grab IV (MG004): features the EZ lever release: push the handle forward to rock the magnet up and off the steel. The low 112° pivot point suits moving and positioning parts, equipment, tubulars, beams, and plate.
- Multi-Grab IV with extensions: the same EZ lever release design in longer fixed lengths and an adjustable XL version, for extra distance from suspended loads.
- Multi-Grab V (MG005): an on/off magnet tool with a 2-position locking handle for push/pull and lift/carry. “V” grooves on three magnetic surfaces grip steel rod and round stock. Approximately 380 lbs of grip force on flat, clean 1" steel.
