Why Use a D-Series Desiccant Breather?
Every time a tank, reservoir, or gearbox breathes, through temperature changes or fluid level shifts, it pulls in outside air along with moisture and airborne dirt. That contamination degrades lubricants, promotes rust and corrosion, and shortens the life of bearings, gears, and pumps. Replacing a standard vent cap with an Air Sentry D-Series desiccant breather filters incoming air before it ever reaches your fluid.
D-Series breathers are designed for stationary fluid management applications. With several heights and connection types available, there's a model to fit most equipment.

D-Series Model Guide
All D-Series breathers share a 5" diameter. Choose your model by height (which determines desiccant volume) and connection type:
- D-100: 5" x 3.5", 1" slip fit
- D-101: 5" x 5", 1" slip fit
- D-154: 5" x 5", 1" MNPT
- D-102: 5" x 8", 1" slip fit
- D-103: 5" x 8", 1" MNPT
- D-104: 5" x 8", 2" MNPT
- D-108: 5" x 10", 2" MNPT
Taller breathers hold more desiccant, so they last longer between replacements. That makes them a good choice for larger reservoirs, humid environments, or equipment with frequent breathing cycles.
When to Replace Your Breather
Check the silica gel regularly through the clear tube. Once the gel has changed from gold to dark green, the breather has reached its moisture capacity and should be replaced to keep protecting your equipment.
