PTFE Thread Seal Tape

PETRO-TAPE is a rugged, inert and highly resistant tape. It's impervious to steam, salt water, air, fuels, refrigerants, acids and alkalis (including sulfuric, hydrochloric, nitric, sodium hydroxide and chromic), solvents (including kerosene, aircraft oils, gasoline, diesel, carbon tet. and cleaning fluids) and gases (including liquid and gaseous oxygen, hydrogen, ammonia, freon, chlorine, propane, natural gas, butane and nitrogen). PETRO-TAPE contains green pigment and its characteristics make it far superior to other PTFE tapes.

PETRO-TAPE NICKEL is a thick, premium-density tape that permits quick, clean sealing of threaded stainless steel pipe connections. Its PTFE base provides natural lubrication of the joint, while its nickel filler prevents galling of the threads which is common in stainless steel assemblies. At 4-mil thick, it is the ideal solution for sealing stainless steel threaded joints. The tape also contains a grey pigment for easy identification, and distinguishes it from lower density, general purpose thread sealant tapes.
