It is pumpable to temperatures as low as -30°F (-36°C) when used with a high-pressure lubricator using a low pour point oil and viscosity building polymer which has little detrimental effect to low temperature pumpability. It is formulated with boundary lubricants including graphite, molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) and hydrogen sulfide (H2S) and rust inhibitors. The MoS2 enhances sealing and lubrication by burnishing into scratches effectively renewing surfaces. Being heavier than oil allows the product to more readily displace water and residues from the body of gate valves. H2S inhibitors provide longer product life in sour gas service.
