How the L-Series Works

Unlike standard desiccant breathers that mount on top of a tank or reservoir, L-Series units install directly in an air line. Air enters one end of the filter/dryer, passes through the silica gel desiccant and filtration media, and exits the other end clean and dry. Water vapor is adsorbed by the desiccant, and solid contaminants down to 2 microns are filtered out.

That makes the L-Series a simple, compact way to protect equipment and processes that need clean, dry air, without a large or complex drying system.

L-Series Model Guide

The L-Series comes in two diameters and two lengths, all with 1/2" FNPT connections:

  • L-141: 2" dia. x 5" long, 1/2" FNPT
  • L-142: 2" dia. x 8" long, 1/2" FNPT
  • L-143: 3.25" dia. x 5" long, 1/2" FNPT
  • L-144: 3.25" dia. x 8" long, 1/2" FNPT

Larger units hold more desiccant, so they last longer between replacements. They're a good fit for higher airflow, humid environments, or continuous-duty lines.

Important Installation Note

L-Series filter/dryers are rated up to 60 psi. Always install them downstream of the pressure regulator, on the regulated side of the line, to stay within the rated pressure.
